Kombat Taekwondo Malaysia has successfully conducted the 2026 Kombat Taekwondo Instructor & Assistant Training Program, marking a significant milestone in the structured development and professionalisation of Kombat Taekwondo within the region.
The landmark program brought together 50 Kombat Taekwondo instructors from across Malaysia, forming the first officially standardised cohort trained under Kombat Taekwondo Malaysia’s national framework. The initiative was designed to elevate instructional standards, enhance athlete safety, and ensure consistency in class management and coaching methodologies across all affiliated clubs.
Strengthening Professional & Safe Instruction
Participants were introduced to the core philosophy and evolution of Kombat Taekwondo, gaining a deeper understanding of its objectives and role within the modern martial arts landscape. Strong emphasis was placed on Safe Sport principles, including athlete welfare, injury prevention, ethical coaching conduct, and responsible supervision across all age groups.
The program was officiated by Brigadier General (R) Datuk Hj Mislan, President of Kombat Taekwondo Malaysia, and was further honoured by the presence of senior national leaders:
• Grandmaster Ramli Jahar, President, Professional Taekwondo Federation (Malaysia)
• Lt. Colonel (R) Md Yusof, Vice President, Kombat Taekwondo Malaysia
This successful training initiative lays a strong foundation for continued national and regional growth, reinforcing Kombat Taekwondo’s commitment to developing qualified, professional, and safety-focused instructors throughout Southeast Asia.
